Eric Lantuo, Micro Entrepreneur
Eric Lantuo is a young entrepreneur located in the Northern part of Ghana. He was introduced to our Barefoot Power in 2013, after trying it out in his home at Nandom, he decided to become an agent for Barefoot Power in his community. The three Northern Regions of Ghana are the least electrified with electrification rate of 32%.
Eric registered his business as Lantuo Services, he came up with a team of young men and women who were unemployed within his community. Barefoot Power supported them “Sales and Technical Training”. The training empowered them to offer Barefoot Power solar lanterns and solar home system as a solution to the energy problems their community is beset with. They became the change agents in their communities whilst earning a source of living from the sale of the products.
Together with his team they successful installed barefoot Power in several homes in the Nandom. Through Barefoot Power products, people in rural Nandom are happy with light, power to charge their phones and able to listen to radio.
